Update on Fisher Family
November 22, 2008 – 6:27 pmTime sure does pass quickly, it is hard to believe thatnumber one we are already looking at the end of November and number two that I left the states two weeks ago! The Lord blessed me and Jervis with some time alone together after I got back and it was so nice to catch up and be together before returning back to Punta Gorda.
I was not even home 24 hours and drama started to unfold. We found out that Lydia the birth mother of Zander wanted him back. You can only imagine the tearing of my heart when I heard of this. Of course we are all completely attached and the thought of him going back is breaking our hearts. We went to visit her and took Zander, WOW! Then she asked for us to come back and see her Dad the next day. We returned and there is good and bad news. They do want him back, but the only reason they want him is because they want to take the biological father to court for monthly support. How sad. I know if they try taking the custody of Zander back to the courts, that we will have favor with the judge. We love Zander so much and if that is all they want him back for then we pray the courts will dismiss their plea. We are still asking that you would continue to pray, our hearts will be torn in pieces if they take him from us.
I will keep you posted on any updates, but I am praying they just drop it since they saw we are not so willing to hand him over!
