The Ultimate Road Trip - Part 1
October 13, 2009 – 6:50 pmWe just wanted to let you know that we made it to the states. Although we did not get on the first flight we only had to stay in Houston one night. Shandice’s graduation party went really well and it was so nice to see so many of our friends and family. It was a great start to our trip!
We left Thursday morning for South Dakota and were able to drive to Mount Rushmore on our way to our first stop. The kids really enjoyed seeing it. It has been snowing most of our trip and although we are really cold we are enjoying every minute of it! We are currently in Ottertail, Minnesota. We will be leaving here on Wednesday for Wisconsin. The kids are doing well with all the travel, we max out at about three hours for the babies before we have to stop for a break. Please be praying for Zander, he is taking all the changes the hardest. He has not sleep for the past two nights and has been very clingy.
Please also be praying for Jervis’ family. We received a call Saturday that his sister is in the hospital dying from breast cancer that spread to her brain. She lives in New York and we will be there on the 20th of October, but we are waiting to find out from his brother if we need to get there sooner.
If you would like to be praying for our trip here is the link that will tell you where we will be for the next few months. http://www.lolministry.com/schedule/
Thanks again for all your love and support!
The Fisher Family

To bad I did not read this sooner you could have honked as you drove into Wisconsin if you were taking Hwy 94. Sorry to hear about Jervis sister. May the God of peace rise up big in you. Traveling with kids is always an adventure. We went camping out to Yellowstone in August and only stayed in the same place once for more than one night. If you can, rent the movie “Faith Like Potatoes”. If you have not already seen it I believe it will encourage you.
Blessings,
Pete
