Karey & Michael
Karey and Michael both wanted to join the Peace Corps since the time they could remember, they reached their goal in 2007, taking two and a half years off from regular life in Bend, Oregon. Toward the end of their service time they heard about some people wanting to create a children’s home on a piece of ground near San Felipe Village. During a return trip to PG in 2011 they came to LOL, helped with some painting, helped empty and move in the chattel from their first container, Karey got some baby-time with Marcus, and they got to know a little about Melissa and Jervis. They made trips to other children’s homes but felt directed to LOL. They have been volunteering for almost a year now.
