Codey

Born and raised in Southeast Colorado, Codey moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University. He came to LOL on a short-term mission trip with a team of college students from Mill City Church. After a powerful week, he knew that God was calling him to come back. In 2015 he served as an intern and afterwards decided to stay on as staff. Codey works full time as the shift supervisor and assistant to Jervis.

Tiffany was born and raised in Toledo, Belize. Her home church, Toledo Faith Outreach Christian Center, is the same church Laugh Out Loud Ministry attends on Sundays. After the passing of her father, Tiffany came to LOL ministry to be mentored during the summer of 2013. After realizing that LOL was where God wanted her to serve, Tiffany decided to stay indefinitely. She is currently working full-time in many different positions such as: Assisting the accountant, supervising night staff, and working with our older girls on the weekends.

Ben & Raela

Ben, originally from Colorado, heard about LOL through his high school. He was a part of the school’s annual senior class mission trip. While in Belize Ben encountered a stirring in his heart that he had never felt before. After graduating, Ben made the commitment to serve LOL full time first as an intern and now as staff.

Raela was born and raised in Southern California. She first heard about LOL through her church. After a short-term trip, Raela felt called to come back and serve the ministry. She later met Ben while enrolled in the internship program. Having the opportunity of working together, Ben and Raela formed an amazing bond of friendship that would later lead to their marriage.

After being married in Belize alongside the children, fellow staff and beloved family, they have together committed themselves to LOL Ministry. Both Ben and Raela are currently work full-time as the Facilities Manager and Childcare Director.

Joel

Joel was born and raised in Punta Gorda, Belize. In 2012, his parents introduced him to Jervis and Melissa, and they asked if he could join the internship program. He has been thriving ever since and has found a passion for the kids here. He is here until God speaks to him otherwise. He currently works full time with our older and younger boys, maintaining our vehicles, and working construction.

Karey & Michael

Karey and Michael both wanted to join the Peace Corps since the time they could remember, they reached their goal in 2007, taking two and a half years off from regular life in Bend, Oregon. Toward the end of their service time they heard about some people wanting to create a children’s home on a piece of ground near San Felipe Village.  During a return trip to PG in 2011 they came to LOL, helped with some painting, helped empty and move in the chattel from their first container, Karey got some baby-time with Marcus, and they got to know a little about Melissa and Jervis. They made trips to other children’s homes but felt directed to LOL.  They have been volunteering for almost a year now. Michael is currently working full-time as one of our Maintenance Managers while Karey works full-time as our Accountant.

Tim & Michelle

Tim and Michelle have been supporting LOL through short term mission trips since 2011 through their church, Christ Chapel - Warner Robins, GA. In 2014 they felt the call of the Lord to move to Belize and provide support. Following God's lead to "GO", they sold/gave away many of their worldly possessions and began what they called, "Belize: The Faith Journey". With support from their church and many of their friends, they have moved to Punta Gorda, Belize and are now living a life of submission to the Lord. Michelle is home schooling their 15 year old son Alex and providing support in the financial department while Tim is working with the construction and maintenance department on various projects. They both are active in the support of LOL's mission to provide a safe and nurturing place for the children of Belize.

The following summer she completed a 2-month summer internship with Laugh Out Loud Ministry. During this time, she was a care taker for the younger children of LOL. Nina returned home to Colorado for a year before the Lord brought her back into the jungle to serve and love the children in Belize. She is now a full-time volunteer. Nina is Melissa Fisher’s personal admin-assistant and oversees the volunteer-program.

Shandice

After being born in Belize, Shandice was adopted by Jervis and Melissa when she was 9 years old and moved with them to Colorado. Six years later, the family moved back to Belize to start LOL.
