Update for October 20, 2008
October 15, 2008 – 3:20 pmI pray that you are doing good and that you are relaxing before all the holidays come!
Belize Update - The village that is down the road from our property is San Felipe, we have been building relationships in that village since we moved. Last month we set up some things with the chief. First of all we will be having a night of worship once a month. Second, they are allowing us to take over the music class at the school and we will be starting a Ketchi Kids Choir with the children there. We have total freedom with whatever songs we want to teach and we will also be able to teach them music lessons. The team is really excited to have these avenues to continue our relationships with the village people.
I am getting so excited about my return home, the countdown is on. We have a 45 passenger bus that has been donated and if the doctor releases Zander and the timing works for my Dad to drive it down we will take the bus the first week of November. If not, my Dad will drive the bus down in the next month or so. So I will have to make plans as if the bus will leave in the next three weeks. There are some things that we would like to take back with us and if you would like to help us get those items please e-mail me. Okay so my dad just told me there is a possibility that he is going to leave with the bus in one week, so that really puts all this on a time crunch.
In Belize the paint they sell only lasts for one year, so we are going to try to get all the paint that we need for the building here in the states. We have the colors picked out and because of the extreme weather conditions would like to get the lifetime guarantee paint. We realize it won’t last a lifetime, but we can get the most years out of the paint that way. We also need to take Soy Formula and Diapers size 3 & 4. Well, I guess I will just list the things to make it easier.
- Paint and primer
- Painting items (rollers, brushes, trays, tape)
- Soy Formula (Similac)
- Diapers Size 3 & 4
- One baby push toy for when Zander starts to stand/walk
- Sippy Cups
- Baby bowls
- Baby boy clothes 6 + months (for hot weather)
- Kitchen trash bags
- 9 volt batteries (can be rechargeable)
- AA batteries (can be rechargeable)
- Large white undershirts (mans)
- Sewing machine
For now that is all I can think of. If only I had a Walmart in Belize!!! Anyway, thank you all and be blessed.
Thanks again,
Melissa

Thanks for the update!
