Hi Melissa,
This is Cheryl Gray. You may not remember, but we corresponded by email several months ago. I had mentioned we were considering moving to Belize;(my husband Paul, and daughter Abbi (15 yrs old) and myself) We believe in what you’re doing and would like to be a part of it, as the Lord leads. You had mentioned coming for a short term to get a feel for what you’re doing and how we can contribute. We’re moving toward that step. My husband will probably be coming by himself, hopefully within the next several months. He wondered your address - what part of Punta Gorda you’re in. As far as accommodations, should he make arrangements for somewhere close (in fact, what is available?) Or can he bunk at the orphanage? I’m sorry I can’t be more precise on dates and such, but we are in a state of flux and a lot of unknowns need to come together before the move.
It was very exciting to see the video of the construction of the facility. How many children are you taking care of, and what kinds of needs do you have? More babies, or older children? How is the situation of the dump being built nearby?
