Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I cannot believe that we are already in the end of November. It was a year ago that Jervis and I brought the family down here to Punta Gorda to find a place to live for us and the team. Now here we are a year later building our ministry and life in Belize seeming more normal to us.

We have so many things to be thankful for this year, if I listed them this e-mail would be too long to read! Thanksgiving was great because we had a good friend bring us a turkey down on the plane and my mom bought all the fixings for the rest of the dinner on her drive down to Mexico. The food turned out great, we were missing ones we loved, but overall had a good day. I pray that you had a good dinner with family and friends and enjoyed all the food and fellowship.

We are sad to say that the LaFleur Family has returned back to the states. It seems so quiet here without them and it will be hard for us to adjust to not seeing their faces every day. We had a crazy thing happen on the way back from taking them to the airport. We ran out of gas! Not the thing you want to happen to you in Belize after dark. It took about 30 cars to pass before three drunken men picked us up to take us to the next town which was a twenty minute drive away. After a three hour ordeal and feeling like I may not live to see another day, we got gas and were back on the road. We should have been home around 9pm and instead pulled up about 12:45 in the morning.

Well that is all for now, I am sure many of you are exhaustedfrom the Day After Thanksgiving sales and shopping! Not me, Belize doesn’t know what sale means! No coupons, no sales, no clearance racks! What a change of life!
