February 2008 Rez Newsletter

February 27, 2008 – 9:36 pm

Dear Rez Family and friends,

It is such an honor to be able to write this letter as a missionary in Belize, Central America. Jervis and I have dreamed on this day and desired to serve the Lord as missionaries for over ten years and now here we are. The Lord is faithful to complete the work that he has started in us!

There is such a joy and excitement knowing that you are in the perfect will of God. We were able to purchase 25 acres to build the orphanage on. It is pure jungle and it is very thick. Jervis and the other men on our team have been going every day to chop it down and find a place to start building.

February 15th was a big day for our ministry. We closed on the property and then one hour later we had a Maya Indian lady show up at the end of our drive way with her two boys ages nine weeks and three years. She wanted to know where she takes her kids because she didn’t want them anymore. After talking with her for a few hours and finding out why she didn’t want her children we agreed to take them. So even though we weren’t ready and didn’t even start with the foundation of our building, God was already sending the children.

So, here we are already fulfilling the calling. We are so excited for what God is doing in Belize and what His plans are to free this country. Please continue to pray for us as we press on and press into the calling of God on our lives.

At this time we are going to start building the housing for the staff and orphans of Laugh Out Loud Ministry. If you would like to come down and help please feel free to contact us. We thank you so much for your prayers and financial support; we would not be able to impact the lives of the children here if it were not for your obedience.

On the journey,

Jervis, Melissa, Shandice, Jermicah and Analiya Fisher
