After School Programs

Part of our ministry at LOL is to travel into the local villages and provide after school programs for the children. We want to disciple these children while teaching them skills they can use in their future. Many of these children have gifts inside of them they would never have the opportunity to know about. We want to give the opportunity to glorify God with the gifts God gave them. Here are a few of the programs we have started.

Children’s Choir

Vision:

Psalm 147:1 says, Praise the Lord. For it is good to sing praises to our God. It is pleasant because praise is beautiful.

We believe one of the greatest ways to express honor and worship to God is through singing praises to Him. This verse says that the praises that come from our lips are beautiful to the ears of God. We are starting a children’s choir where we can let this beautiful sound come forth from San Felipe village.

Psalm 22:3 says, God is holy, enthroned in the praises of His people.

This means God’s throne is made up of our praises. We want to make His throne bigger and bigger with our songs of worship.

Objectives:

I. We want to help discover the gifts and talents God has placed in these children and give them an opportunity to use their gifts.
II. Basic music and singing. Harmonies and voice training.
III. Unity. While singing and working together each group learning his or her part will come together with one voice.
IV. How to worship God with their voices.

Long Term:

We hope to get a core group of committed children that we can eventually travel with to other cities and bring our program to them. This may include nights of worship, Christmas programs or other events throughout the year.

III. How to worship God through instruments
