A true but gross story

This is a true but gross story, so if you have a weak stomach don’t read this!
Why you should never draw a line for God……

so about a week before we got Christina I was telling another missionary, “worms is where I draw the line! That is just so gross, if I get worms or my kids I will throw up and pack my bags, I just can’t handle that. Bugs, spiders, snakes, hot weather…okay…but not worms in a body! So when we got Christina and the doctor said she had worms, I was like okay they will give her the medicine that kills them and I won’t really have to see them. Well, the first diaper, I saw them! I handled it well and was fine. Then at about one in the morning she woke up, I feed her changed her and when I tried to put her back in her bed she cried. So I let her sleep next to me. At about 4am, Jervis wakes me because she is coughing and he tells me she is pulling something out of her mouth. My first thought was she was coughing up mucous, so I grab it out of her hand. Only to feel what I thought was mucous moving in my hand!!!!!! You guessed it, a WORM! I threw it on the bed and turned the light on to see it wiggling on my bed! GROSS! It was about 6″ long. I started crying, not because I wanted to pack my bags, but because my heart once again broke for this little girl.

I cried and prayed over her and needless to say I could not go back to sleep. So, drawing the line as to what I will or won’t , can or can’t do is out the door. So when it says “you can do all things, through Christ who strengthens you,” it does mean ALL things!

Bless you girl!! I can’t imagine being you or Christina, although it probably wasn’t the first she had coughed up!!! What an adventure you are on. Give her & your other kidos a hug for me. Don’t add me to your list for updates as I can get them on Steve’s He told me there was a gross thing on here but wouldn’t tell me @ that time because Ryan was in the car w/us. I could see it creating nightmares!!! Ryan is doing very good. God has his hand on our boy & is really doing some awsome work w/all of this. People are being touched & changed & I don’t have to do a thing! So I consider it a blessing so that so many people can see God’s mercy & love, not to mention his faithfulness!! We miss you guys & Steve would be there in a minute w/Tony except for Ryan. I told him to go if he can, but he says he won’t leave Ryan. (I don’t think he trusts me to take care of him-oh man of little faith!!) Well I pray that God meets & excedes your needs & blesses those babies hugely!! Love, Vicki
